Alison Doody

Alison Doody has been an Irish model and actor since 11 November 1996. Following her feature film debut with a small part in Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she was later cast to appear as a an archaeologist who is sympathetic to Nazis, Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). The other roles she played include Siobhan Donavan on the film A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) and Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). Doody began her modeling career after she was approached by a hopeful photographer. The career she pursued has developed into commercial modeling. Doody was adamantly against glamour and sexually explicit work. This was a policy was extended to her acting profession. If she came to the director's attention in an upcoming James Bond film, Doody was offered a small role in A View to a Kill (1985). Doody is listed as a part of John Willis Screen World's Vol. 3 as being one of the 12 promising actors from 1986. 38. Doody, who was only 18 at the time she played the part of Doody in the movie A prayer for the dying (1987), starring Mickey Rourke, is the youngest Bond girl who has a name to her. A Prayer for the Dying starring Mickey Rourke also had a role for Doody in the character of IRA Siobhan. Doody was unspoken in the film as Archibald Craven's wife Lilias during his dream, 1987's adaptation from The Secret Garden. The first time she played the lead in a 1988 episode of Jim Henson fantasy series The Storyteller as Sapsorrow alongside John Hurt Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders. The actress starred alongside Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Elsa Schneider, an Austrian Nazi sympathizer and an archaeologist from the forensic field in the 1989 film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody has been in three films with James Bond actors. In 1991 Doody was co-starring with Jonathan Pryce in British mini-series Selling Hitler inspired by the publication fraud, also known as the Hitler Diaries. Then, she moved to Hollywood. She was chosen to succeed Cybill Shepherd as spokeswoman for L'Oreal She went on to play opposite Charlie Sheen in 1994's Major League II in the role of Flannery the agent's girlfriend. Doody, who had been absent from the stage for nearly 10 years, returned in 2003 for a minor role in her role in the British comedy The Actors in which Michael Caine appeared as her in a scene during an award ceremony. In 2004, Doody was in the film alongside Patrick Swayze alongside a TV version to King Solomon's Mines. Also, she appeared on Benjamin's Struggle (2005), which was a pamphlet that described the Holocaust. In 2010, Doody shot a part of Danny Dyer's movie The Rapture (2010). The following year, she had been scheduled set to take on the role of lead for The Asphyx remake, but that project fell through. Pam Jefferson, the character she played in E4's comedy Beaver Falls during its first season, which ran for two seasons. The following year, she starred as Pam Jefferson in We Still Kill the Old Way.
